One benefit that many people have found in owning Apple iOS products is the combination of its AppleCare+ extended warranty, and Apple's Genius Bar service. For $99 you receive two years of warranty protection for any iPad or iPhone, and in case of any accidental damage to the device on your part, you could replace your iPad for $49, or iPhone for $79, with a total of two incidents being covered. Apple has been facing some tough times in the EU lately due to its warranty policies. Recently we've heard the news of the company having trouble in Belgium as the consumer protection group FPS Economy has filed a claim against the company due to its AppleCare warranty practice. The EU requires that products provide consumers with no less than two years of warranty coverage, and in the case of Apple, that's only the case if you purchase AppleCare.
