The image above shows us a prototype of the alleged Nokia N5 to come, which it leaks in its full glory. It will be Espoo's upcoming smartphone based on a revised Symbian^3 PR2 Anna which has been tweaked a bit to resemble the looks of MeeGo on the just-released N9. The images come from South Africa and the purported N5 seems to have a 3.5-inch-ish display (hopefully AMOLED as on the N8 and X7), a front facing camera, as well as three hardware buttons at the bottom, one for call start, one for call end and one menu button. The camera at the back is one of five-megapixels with an LED flash ...

Rovio's been no slouch when it comes to providing gamers level after new level of Angry Birds action. We've recently seen updates for the original Angry Birds, as well as the movie-tie-in Angry Birds Rio, but it's been a couple months since there's been any new level packs ready for Angry Birds Seasons. The follow-up to the Easter Eggs has now been revealed, with Summer Pignic on the way. Oddly, for a title that's been so focused on levels with associations to specific holidays, this looks like it will be the first update to actually identify itself with an entire season. It's not like ...

Swedish based Spotify is a peer-to-peer music streaming service and application software that became uber-popular in Europe with its more than one million paid subscribers and it appears that it will be coming (very) soon to the U.S. Jonathan Forster from Spotify told the press in London that the company is "signing the remaining deals as I speak". So how's the camera on the Nokia X7? We'll tell you right from the beginning that it's not your twelve-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon flash you will find on the Nokia N8 and thus the quality isn't that good. But you know what? It's not that bad either! The Nokia X7, referred to by the Finnish manufacturer as being an entertainment smartphone, features an eight-megapixel main camera with third generation dual LED flash (focal length: 4.3 mmF and aperture: F2.8). It has 2x digital zoom for still images and 3x digital zoom for video recording. It shoots 16:9 videos in HD with ...

It's not much fun being a Nokia fan in the US. Sure, you see a few of its smartphones picked up by carriers, like the C7 / Astound, but they're the exceptions that prove the rule. One of the company's latest Symbian-powered handsets, the E6, just started shipping at the end of May, but only to markets in Europe, Eurasia, Asia/Pacific, the Middle East and Africa; Antarctica aside, pretty much everywhere but the Americas. Soon even those smartphone users will get a chance to pick up an E6, since Amazon has opened pre-orders for the device, with plans to start delivering them in the next ...
