It seems that Samsung will be following Motorola, Nokia and Google's lead on the "Active Display," "Glance Screen" and "Ambient Display" features with its own power-conscious notifications system. But you gotta have a catchy name to come with. That's where Samsung will take a page from one of the more often thrown-around phrases in the industry: the "Always On Display." Motorola's Moto X might not wow you with its specs, but it brings some fresh new features. I don't yet own a Moto X, but I do want to take advantage of some of the cool new stuff it does. One of my favorites is Active Notifications. Luckily the Android development community is very active, and a developer called Great Bytes Software has come up with something very similar to what the Moto X does and put it in the Play Store.
