Speaking of the need for better web-enabled applications, there’s actually a free YouTube video player application available on XDA-developers. It can search the entire YouTube library and plays the videos in FLV format.

Unlike the YouTube application included with the Touch Diamond, YouTubePlay does not have an option for loading the high-quality versions of YouTube videos (yet), however it does seem to be much more stable than that official YouTube player included with the Touch Diamond, and you can load off-line FLV video files stored in your device’s memory!
