This is super neat.

Microsoft has created a microsite that allows you to generate your own custom theme for Windows Phone devices for free. While you can only customize the wallpaper, skin color, and top/bottom bar style, it’s still very cool and it works very well.

To get started, hit up the custom theme generator. You’ll only be able to create a theme for a the HTC Pure and Imagio right now, but if you’ve got a device with similar screen resolution (like the Touch Pro2, Touch HD, Samsung Omnia II, etc), it should work.

Update: Ok, so I generated a theme for the HTC Pure and it worked great on a WinMo 6.5 Touch Pro2, but not on a WinMo 6.1 Touch Pro. Also, note that after installing the theme, you still need to enable it by going to Start>Settings>Today and choosing the theme.
