Windows Phone 7 Series: Two Cool Keyboard Features

Brandon Miniman | February 15, 2010 2:13 PM

The default keyboard of Windows Mobile has gone mostly unchanged for about ten years, so it’s nice to see Microsoft innovative a little bit on Windows Mobile 7. To start, the keyboard on Windows Phone 7 Series is similar to that of the Zune HD, but improved. It has autocorrect, but an autocorrect similar to what you would find on a full computer. When you misspell a word, you tap on it, and on the top of the keyboard you will get suggestions. Tapping on a suggested word will replace the incorrect word.

Also new is a full emoticon keyboard, making it easy to smirk or smile when you’re updating your Twitter or Facebook status.
