Here’s a nice little tip for quickly getting back to the Windows Mobile Pro Today Screen. It definitely works in Windows Mobile Pro 6.0 and 6.1, but I’m not sure about 5.0.

Normally, if I wanted to bring up the Today Screen, I would press the Windows Start Menu hardware key on my device and then press the action or enter button since the “Today” item is the default top-level selection.

That’s really too much work, though. Do I really have to go and press two different buttons? Well, here’s the trick, just double press the Windows Start Menu hardware key and right away you’re back to the Today Screen ready to type your next contact to call or read your upcoming appointments.
