According to The Boy Genius Report, Samsung is in the midst of overhauling its TouchWiz user interface, which the firm has since ported from its non-smartphone lineup to its Windows Mobile offering on the Omnia. BGR is reporting that current handsets should be able to download the updated interface, but it is unclear whether that means just regular phones or if the Omnia will be included.

More haptic features, 3D effects, downloadable widgets and a widget dock along the bottom of the screen are among the new features you can look forward to.

The new TouchWiz isn’t a radical departure from the current one, but it is an evolutionary interface. Do users actually find the Widgets useful or is it just eye candy?
