Users on Vodafone will be happy to know that the carrier, like AT&T with the Pure, has jumped the Windows Mobile 6.5 gun and has begun offering the Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade for its carrier version of the Diamond2. Windows Mobile 6.5 is supposed to have been announced and released on Tuesday, October 6, when Microsoft launches the operating system, and this makes Vodafone the second worldwide carrier to pre-release the OS.
According to WMPowerUser, the Vodafone build also comes with a newer version of TouchFLO 3D that supports a little weather icon on the main screen with the clock, missed call alerts, and calendar appointments. This way, you don’t have to go to your weather tab in TouchFLO 3D and can now have your day’s information at a glance.
It’s unclear how one would get the update as I am not a Vodafone subscriber nor am I fluent in German to navigate the Vodafone country-specific website to learn more. If someone from Germany has obtained the update, please inform us in the comments.
