The Way to Unleash the Hidden Sounds
brins0 (maker of Gyrator2) has released a great and free application called Tonality that will grant access to hidden sound events in Windows Mobile.
Tonality grants access to more than 50 different sound events that reside in the registry of Windows Mobile, from which only a few can be customized via Start, Settings, Personal, Sounds & Notifications. This application displays existing sound events in the registry and allows you to choose a different sound file for them (works with wav, mp3 and audio files supported by your system). It also has the ability to add sound events that might exist on some device configurations and not on others.
Install to Device and make sure you have a backup handy just in case, as with any app that accesses and modifies registry. You'll need to have .NET Compact Framework 3.5 installed in order to run this app. Advertised to work on all resolutions.
EDIT: The application will start with a warning every time and display an error message which is normal on first start according to the maker of the application. Any changes you've made need a soft reset in order to be activated.
