Mozilla’s Firefox browser is an excellent alternative to Internet Explorer. However, its Minimo browser hasn’t seen as much widespread adoption. Minimo will be scrapped in the future and a Firefox for Mobile will be released after Firefox 3 comes out. Mobile Firefox will provide some interesting competition to Opera. Looks like we’re all in for a better browsing experience soon. I personally love Opera on my Windows Mobile Professional phone. It provides me with a streamlined view when I just want to see things formatted for the small screen and when I want a desktop-like browsing experience, it could provide me with that as well. I definitely am looking forward to how Mobile Firefox will look like and operate on my phone. Hopefully a Windows Mobile native client will be released, along with a JAVA version for feature phones.
