The Pad is a somewhat old application – still kicking on today’s modern devices with high resolutions like the Touch HD’s WVGA – which allows you to easily write anything on your Windows Mobile Professional device, with easy to customize menus and appearance. Read on to see what The Pad is and how you can use it!
Think of The Pad as a virtual 1000 pages digital notepad to which you can write or draw anything using your stylus. Saying that, you can start filling up your start page and either press DPad down or top left icon (to bring up the menu which allows you) to select next page. For easy corrections, you can always toggle between pen and eraser modes using the top right icon. Exiting the application and starting it at a later use will always load up your pad the way you left it, with all the previous text and drawing you’ve entered, except if you use the Clear Pad option which will delete all your pages which are saved in My DocumentsPad Pages as bitmap files. The application uses Cut, Copy and Paste funtions to allow you to edit text and drawing throughout the pages and there is a nice option called Compress Pad which will remove empty pages and rearrange them.
Additionally, watch a demo of The Pad in action.
Going through the options, you can choose from eight pen and pad colors, set pen thickness, width and node size, eraser size and configure number of pad pages.
You can buy The Pad for $16 (plus an Optional Premier Support Package of $4.99 giving you free application updates for 2 years and free re-downloads of the software you purchased, amongst other things) directly from its website.
