Save YouTube Videos Easily Using Web Video Downloader
File under: News
The creators of Web Video Downloader have developed a program that will allow you to save your favorite YouTube videos to either your device’s ROM or a storage card. The program is very easy to use and pretty much walks you through the steps to be able to download a video. Just input your search, select the directory you want it to save to, choose the video quality, and save. It’s surprisingly simple to use and will load on probably any device running Windows Mobile 5/6/6.1. The developing site stated that it will work on QVGA,VGA, and WVGA devices. I was able to get it to run without any modifications on the Xperia X1 but the WVGA resolution made the startup graphic a little stretched. When played back on the default Windows Media Player the videos were crystal clear.
I will stress a little disclaimer though, this program allows you to search various video sites other than YouTube and some of them contain adult content. This feature can be disabled in the settings to block such sites. Spotted on 1800PocketPC.
