Samsung Omnia B7610 Home Screen Interface Tour

In this video we cover the home screen interfaces of the Samsung Omnia Pro. The device comes with two unique interfaces. The first is the widget-based TouchWiz interface that Samsung is now using for most of their newer devices. It allows you to drag and drop various widgets onto your home screen and rearrange them. You can have up to three panels of widgets. Overall, we find the widget interface to be bit clunky and slow.

The second interface, which offers improved performance and a cleaner design, is called Samsung Today. It’s similar to the classic Today screen for Windows Mobile in that it allows you to place information, rather than graphics, on the screen. You can have an item for RSS, email, tasks, favorite people, and more. We just wish that they had included a weather module, as seen on the Omnia Pro website.

Coming up soon we’ll go through the programs found on the Omnia Pro! In case you missed it, check out our other Omnia Pro coverage.
