pocketnow.com Exclusive Application: LightsOut for Smartphone

Summary: I find it terribly annoying that with Windows Mobile 5/6 Smartphone devices, if a headset is connected to your Smartphone, you cannot put the phone in silent mode. Rather, you must manually disconnect the pairing by disabling Bluetooth or powering off the headset. Or, if you’re not using a Bluetooth headset, you still must change the profile to Silent to avoid being woken up at night. This is unacceptable, so we wrote an application to help you sleep soundly, called LightsOut. No longer will you get bothered by message notifications or phone calls during your sleeping hours when your device is charging.

Actions: Detects insertion of AC adapter and both disables Bluetooth and puts phone in Silent mode. Upon removal of AC adapter, Bluetooth is restored and phone goes to the Automatic

Requires: Any Smartphone 2003 or later device. Runs on Compact Framework 1.0 or later.

To get this exclusive app, download the this CAB and run it from your device. After installing, reboot your device, and it will work.

Disclaimer: Though this has been tested on multiple devices, pocketnow.com is not responsible for any problems caused by the app.
