It looks like Pandora Radio will be launched on more Windows Mobile devices. The application was first launched on AT&T’s LG Incite to the disappointment of many as it came with a trial restriction, making the application less useful.
Pandora Radio is an internet streaming application that lets users create their own radio station by typing in an artist name, song title, or album. Pandora’s algorithm will match other songs from various other artists to the user’s search and queue those selections for listening on a user’s “channel” based on the search. This makes the radio more personalized.
According to PC Mag, the radio application will be hitting several devices on Sprint and Verizon, both Windows Mobile Standard and Professional platforms will be addressed. The Sprint Touch and Verizon VX6900 and the Motorola Q9c will be the first ones to get the application. Users can go to Pandora.com on their devices to download.
Unfortunately, when I tried it on my Touch Pro, I was not able to download because my device is unsupported. Hopefully, the new Windows Mobile versions will lift the time restrictions that AT&T had placed on the free service–on the LG Incite, the application requires a user to sign up with a monthly subscription plan with the carrier for a service that would have been otherwise offered for free.
