XDA Developers wrote up a neat little application that comes in very handy for Windows Mobile Professional users, called Windows Mobile Notepad, that supports QVGA and VGA resolutions (for now).
The application is basically the same as Notepad from any ordinary PC running a Microsoft Windows operating system. It is a text editor that can create and save, open and view text files (files with .txt extension). On a basic Windows Mobile Professional device, any text document you are trying to view is opened and handled by Office Mobile’s Word Mobile by default. From now on you can do this with Notepad, as well as any other text based files, with the ability to change the font from normal to fixed width.
No installation is required, just download the application and place it anywhere on your device, it will start up from there when you tap it. You might though want to create shortcuts in your Programs menu (remember: tap and hold on the Notepad application File, select copy, navigate to destination folder, tap and hold and select to Paste as Shortcut.)
