We’ve posted about the Official Messaging update for the HTC HD2 but we seem to have another hotfix released for this device, strangely, addressing the same issue (guess the first one didn’t really solve it).

In a funny way, the description is the same as it was for the other update: “This update for HTC HD2 messaging lets you reach out to your friends and family with instant notifications. Keeping in touch has always been very important, and this update delivers just that: fast and reliable SMS messaging”.

Note: Update applies to devices running ROM versions up and equal to 1.66.XXX.X.

Note 2: Since it’s a Hotfix, you will need to reapply after a Hard Reset.

EDIT: Seems like the old update for the same issue which was residing here was pulled which makes me think this is either a remake, fix for the fix or a re-release.

EDIT 2: Early reports show improved messaging speed and highlighing the most recent SMS one’s replying to.
