New GScroll Version 2.0 for Touch Pro and Touch Diamond

In this video we take a tour of the new version of GScroll, version 2.0. For those unfamiliar, GScroll (from MobileSRC) was an inexpensive utility that we first heard about in December. It allowed for extended functionality of the capacitive touch area found on all Touch Diamond’s and Touch Pro’s.

The latest version of GScroll allows for an almost infinite set of program launches that are initiated by gently pressing one of the five hardware button areas. So – if you want to quickly launch messaging, you can gently double-tap the Home button, and so on.

Also new to this version of GScroll is the Spb Mobile Shell 3.0-like 3D application switcher. It lets you visualize all open programs and toggle between them.

And finally, the settings screen for GScroll has been revamped with more granular controls for the sensitivity of the swipe-scroll feature, and with “Help” options to help the user understand what each function does.

The interface is still a bit ugly and technical looking – hopefully the developer can make this area more usable in future versions.

You can grab a copy from our software store for about $7. For those that already have GScroll, it’s $5.
