We’re diving into the latest emulator image for the Windows Phone 7 developer tools to find what’s new in the most recent build (6176). For now, an XDA user has come across several new functions that give us a better insight into how Windows Phone 7 devices will operate.
First…curious how you can uninstall a program? It looks like a long press of any program in the program list will allow you to do this, as seen above.

The phone dialer makes an appearance in the newest emulator build. Yes, it’s very basic, but it fits the overall Metro interface.

The now-calling screen is certainly not finished, as it doesn’t allow room for photo CallerID.

And when you’re on a call but working in another part of the operating system, you get an iPhone-like bar across the top that lets you jump back to the call at any time.
