Google’s not holding back on multi-touch. The Nexus One recently got a lot of multi-touch action and it seems that the Droid, which hasn’t reached Android OS 2.1 yet, will be getting a little sampling of multi-touch in Google Maps. Baby steps. Hopefully, more multi-touch capabilities will be enabled on the Droid.
To get multi-touch on Google Maps, you have to go to Android Market and update Google Maps to version 3.4 on your Droid.
Also as part of the 3.4 upgrade, users can also benefit from night view, which changes the screen color to make it more pleasant to navigate in a dark environment, synchronization of starred items, and search suggestions from history.
