More Proof the HTC HD2 has 576MB of RAM

Ever since the rumor surfaced that the European version of the HTC HD2 has 576MB of RAM instead of 448MB as advertised, we’ve been very curious as to whether it was true. So we’ve taken matters into our own hands and have loaded a ROM on an HD2 (from XDA) that claims to restore these additional 128MB of RAM. The results? The extra RAM is real and indeed usable! Why would HTC be hiding RAM? One theory suggests that they didn’t want to tip us off to the fact that the HD2 would be getting a Window Mobile 7 upgrade (it’s possible that 7 has very high RAM requirements, and knowing that the HD2 actually has 576MB would make it easy to connect the dots).
