Microsoft’s Phone Data Manager software is now in beta, allowing users to backup select information and data from their Windows Mobile smartphone. The software requires a PC for backing up multimedia features such as photos and music and a Windows Live account for contacts according to Pocket PC Central. Contacts are stored on the cloud on one of Microsoft’s servers and provide synchronization between contacts on the device and Windows Live contacts. The software is available for free from MSN so download your copy and have a simple backup solution for your media files and contacts.
