Samsung has just dropped another new ROM on the GSM Omnia that adds several widgets, as shown in this video. We now finally have a stocks widget, plus one for news, weather, Yahoo/Google search, and also a widget for “more widgets” (which doesn’t yet work). In addition, we get a new Favorite Settings application that lets you quickly change many settings on your Omnia. Sadly, we still don’t have a widget for next appointment. This is much-needed.

How do you get the new ROM? Head on over to the Samsung Support website. This is for the GSM variant of the Omnia (not Verizon) – I just used the Singapore ROM since the GSM Omnia was never released in the US, and it worked great. Don’t forget – we’re giving away a GSM Omnia over Twitter.
