While the first beta of the Windows Mobile Live Mesh client posted the other day didn’t work at all, a fix was posted later that day, and now many Windows Mobile devices can connect to Live Mesh. As you can see from the screen shot below, the Treo 800w has been added to my mesh.
By default, when installing Live Mesh on Windows Mobile, it creates a Mobile Pictures folder which automatically syncs with your device’s “My Pictures” folder. This allows you to instantly upload any photos you take to the Live Desktop, which also can sync with all of the other devices in your Mesh.
You can also sync any number of other folders in your Mesh or add any folders on your device to your Mesh for syncing with other devices.
Unfortunately, Remote Desktop capabilities have not been added to this early beta and only file syncing abilities are available, however future versions may add this functionality.
