If you saw the new pictures from a UK press event of the LG Panther, you may have noticed a new button in the Bing Maps application. It looks a lot like the a button that might be used for GPS navigation. Considering that Bing Mobile beta for Windows Mobile was recently updated to include full text-to-speech voice prompting GPS navigation features, I think it’s pretty safe to say that you’ll see that capability built into Windows Phone 7. GPS navigation is one of the important multi-tasking scenarios that we’ve become acustomed to, so hopefully Microsoft has allowed the voice prompts to persist even while accessing other applications.
