In this video we compare the internet experience of the Zune HD with that of Windows Mobile 6.5.
It turns out (gasp) that Microsoft is indeed capable of building a really solid mobile browser. While Internet Explorer 6 Mobile is a step in the right direction (which we’ll see on Windows Mobile 6.5 devices), it’s still not as fast and light as a mobile browser should be. The Zune HD’s browser, though, makes very good use of screen space. Although it doesn’t have Flash support, pages render accurately, panning around pages is smooth, and managing a simple list of bookmarks is intuitive. Hopefully the browser of the Zune HD represents what we’ll see in future versions of Windows Mobile.
