Ilium Software releases eWallet 7.0

Ilium Software has just released eWallet 7.0. The platforms supported include Windows, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, and a preview version for Mac OS. Ilium Software is no longer supporting Palm OS in this version and there are no current plans for Palm’s WebOS and Google’s Android platforms. They are monitoring the marketplace and have not ruled out building a version of eWallet for those mobile operating systems.

The Windows version of eWallet 7.0 includes the following new functionality:

- Use AutoPass with Firefox: eWallet’s AutoPass feature now enters usernames and passwords for you in Firefox, as well as Internet Explorer.

- eWallet for Windows has a brand-new interface, making it easier than ever to work with your info. And if the new look just isn’t for you – choose the Classic Style to use eWallet the way you remember it!

- Personalize eWallet with a selection of styles, color schemes, and background options for a one-of-a-kind look.

- The new Recent Card list shows you which cards you’ve just had open, so you can switch back to them quickly.

- Leave the program running when your wallet locks on security timeout.

- Set global properties for your cards like the gradient background color, card borders, showing the icon or the hidden fields, and more.

- Optional shading for alternate rows makes it easier to see each card item when you’re working in Flex View.

- eWallet is fully compatible with the new Windows 7 OS, as well as Windows Vista and XP.

The Windows Mobile, Blackberry, and iPhone version of eWallet 7.0 look and feel has not changed but includes the following major improvements:

- Design a great wallet on your desktop – create custom background images, scan copies of your real cards – and when you sync with a Windows Mobile device or iPhone, your customizations sync too!

- Files you’ve attached in the Windows version can be synced to your Windows Mobile device or iPhone, so you can keep them secure and take them anywhere you go.

- BlackBerry users get full sync support built into eWallet on the desktop.

- Windows Mobile 6.5 touchscreen users can easily flip from card to card by simply swiping across the screen.

With the release of eWallet 7.0, Ilium Software is restructuring its pricing model. For $19.95, you can use eWallet on any device they support. The Ilium Software website states: “When you buy eWallet it’s for you – not your device.”

All existing eWallet users will be able to upgrade for just $10.00 to use eWallet on all supported devices. If you bought eWallet in the last 90 days (between August 30 and December 1st) the upgrade is free.
