Seems like the HD2 is on the wave receiving once again a new official update from HTC, this time as a patch which addresses messaging.

According to the description, “this update for HTC HD2 messaging lets you reach out to your friends and family with instant notifications. Keeping in touch has always been very important, and this update delivers just that: fast and reliable SMS messaging”. Even though I had no problems with SMS notifications, some users have been complaining about not being notified when a new text message arrives.

Note: Being a software update, you need to reapply after a Hard Reset.
