HTC Adds Reply/Forward Options to Sense 2.5 Mail Tab

Last week, via a leaked ROM, we discovered that HTC plans to finally release a version of Sense with the ability to delete emails directly from the mail tab. This is an essential feature that should’ve been present since TouchFLO 3D 1.0. Although this addition is very useful and appreciated, it left us and many readers wondering why other common options (reply/reply all/forward/mark as read) weren’t added as well. It looks like we have our answer, thanks to the emergence of the latest T-Mobile U.S. HD2 ROM on XDA-developers.

Among new features like Swype and a “Reader” tab, it turns out HTC is planning to squeeze at least some of these other options into the tab soon enough. As you can see in the screenshot, “Reply” and “Forward” are now added directly below the “Delete Message” option. This certainly extends the mail tab’s functionality even further, but we’re hoping we’ll see a “Mark as Read” option before the T-Mobile HD2 actually ships.
