How to Get Astraware Boardgames & Sudoku for FREE

The Astraware name should sound familiar to most, mainly because of their Bejeweled and Casino games. Well, Microsoft is offering some of Astraware’s other games for free via their Total Access site. The two games (full versions) currently available for download are called Boardgames and Sudoku. The best partÂ… you don’t have to sign up to get them. Read on for details and some links to other free games too!

If you fancy board or puzzle games, there is more than one way to get the games previously mentioned. You can get them directly from Astraware or Handmark for $9.99 a piece. There’s also a special sale on HandMarket Apps, cutting the price to $1.99 each for a limited time. However, the cheapest way is to visit Microsoft’s Total Access to acquire them for free. There are a few other games being offered on Total Access as well. We don’t know how long these games will be free, so be sure to check them all out below.

Free download, no signup required:

- Astraware Boardgames: includes Chess, Backgammon, Ludo, Checkers, Reversi, Nine Men’s Morris, Snakes and Ladders, and Tic Tac Toe

- Astraware Sudoku: six different difficulty levels, download “Puzzles of the Day,” compare times with others around the world and even create your own puzzles

Free download, must signup for free Windows Live ID:

- Speed City: 3-D motorcycle racing game

- RealDice Texas Hold’em: one of the better Poker games out there with great graphics and the ability to play alone or online against others

- Ka-Glom: a puzzle game of falling blocks

As a bonus and because I mentioned Bejeweled earlier, how about a new (free) game modeled after it? If interested, head to XDA-developers for Fruity.
