We’ve posted about the new SMS Function Update for HTC HD2 that replaced an older update with similar description: “This update for HTC HD2 messaging lets you reach out to your friends and family with instant notifications. Keeping in touch has always been very important, and this update delivers just that: fast and reliable SMS messaging”.
Looks like this update too, similar to the other one before it, has been revoked and removed from the HTC Support website where it was available for download.
Most acceptable explanation is that the update shouldn’t even have been published and it was a mistake putting it there. Another though coming to my mind is that this update has done more bad than it fixed and has been revoked. In this case users should have been notified and instructed on how to remove it. Well, Hard Reset always works but you can’t expect users to loose all info because of an update you’ve just pulled…
