If you’re going out to a costume party tonight wearing a Star Trek uniform (and you probably are), don’t forget to dress up your favorite Windows Mobile device as a Star Trek Tricorder. ScaryBear Software has a great little program that makes your phone look and sound like a Tricorder straight out of Star Trek. Yes, it’s been around for 7 or 8 years, but it still works great even on the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 VGA screens. Another cool thing about ScaryBear’s Tricorder software is you can customize the scan results to whatever you want. There are BMP images and WAV files that you can change and replace as you see fit. So, put some pictures of party guests in there, think up some clever scan results and you’re ready to go. Don’t forget to download some Star Trek Fonts if you’re going to change those graphics.
