Google Updates Street View for Windows Mobile, S60

Google is finally releasing an update for its Google Maps Mobile application to enable Street View for the Windows Mobile platform and S60. The application will also enable walking directions. Previously, Street View was offered natively in Google Maps for the Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry platforms, all hugely popular in the US. One possible reason that was alluded to in the Google Mobile Blog is that Google may have needed extra time to photograph streets in Europe. Hence, the Windows Mobile and S60 versions were delayed because of their popularity in Europe and Google needed time to update the photos.
