Google just released a new version of Google Maps Mobile that now shows real-time traffic. The application runs as a Java Midlet, so you should be able to run it on any phone that supports those including many Pocket PC Phones and Windows Mobile Smartphones. I loaded the “high end” version on my Qtek 8500, but unfortunately the application crashes when I try to turn on the live traffic feature. I thought maybe my Smartphone didn’t have enough memory and loaded it on a Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Phone, but the application froze after navigating to a specific zip code.
