Get Real Time Traffic Video on Your Device for Free

This is pretty neat, but only shows traffic from the New York tristate area.

If you go to FreeTrafficCam.com and enter your cell phone number, you’ll get a text message on your phone that will include a link to download the Windows Mobile app for the traffic camera viewing.

Over EDGE on my Blackjack, the video was a bit choppy and small, but it did indeed let me view the traffic along certain major highways in New Jersey and New York, which isn’t much help since I live in Pennsylvania. Oh well. It’s free – give it a try if you live in the aforementioned area.

Update: Matt from Pocket PC Louisville has told us about a traffic map he’s created for the Louisville, KY area that links to a large handful of traffic cameras in the area. Click here to see the map. There’s also a mobile-friendly version here.
