There’s a lot of nattering negative nabobs out there talking about the demise of Windows Mobile, but it’s still got a few tricks up its sleeve. Here’s one that might be useful to any one who likes to take photos with their phone and doctor them up a bit. It’s also great for graphic designers.

Conduits Pocket Artist has been around for a long time, but it’s becoming much more useful these days now that we have some great devices with high resolution screens and plenty of application memory. Pocket Artist lets you open a wide variety of image formats including the Photoshop PSD format while maintaining layers! Unfortunately Pocket Artist doesn’t support some of the newer Photoshop layer formats like adjustment layers and such, but overall, you’ve got a very very powerful mini-Photoshop in your pocket.
