Dual SIM Acer DX900 Software Tour

As we finish up our video coverage on the Dual SIM Acer DX900, we can’t say that we are sad to have reached the end of the video series. As seen in the video here, Acer haphazardly throws together various visual elements in an attempt to make some parts finger friendly and aesthetically pleasing while leaving others to the woes of non finger-friendly Windows Mobile 6.1. They were on the right track to include Spb Mobile Shell, but we can’t help but long for version 3.0, not the old 2.0.

In terms of performance, the a lack of ample program RAM makes the DX900 sluggish at times, especially when using many programs at once.

In the end, we can’t quite recommend the DX900 unless you really need a two-line phone that runs Windows Mobile. We hope that Acer’s next wave of Windows Mobile devices really raise the bar, because we’ve been totally unimpressed with all of the previous E-TEN Glofiish devices which preceded the DX900.

If you want to see more DX900, check out our unboxing video, hardware tour, and two-line phone demonstration. Also, if you want a DX900 of your own, they’re selling at Clove Technology for around $530 unlocked.
