HTC released an official fix last week for their fresh Diamond2, which is the third fix this device gets since it has been released.

The fix is called “Hotfix for resolving new SMS notifications not sounding while in standby mode for HTC Touch Diamond2″ and its description states that it addresses the issue when “new SMS notifications will not sound unless you turn the device on from standby mode”.

Please note, “this hotfix only can be applied to ROM versions equal to 1.40.XXX.X or lower”.
