Desktop-Grade Flash 10 Comes to a Windows Mobile Browser Near You

Flash 10 for Windows Mobile isn’t available as a download yet, but if you want Flash 10 compatibility on your device, Adobe recommends having a Windows Phone or Windows Mobile handset that has at least the processing power of an ARM 11 or Cortex A processor for optimal performance.

Flash 10 will also support hardware features, like multi-touch touchscreens, accelerometers, and GPS.

Adobe’s Chief Technology Officer is optimistic of the company’s plan to launch the internet plug-in early next year. Along with the fast Opera Mobile 9.7 with Turbo browser, Flash support, and powerful new processors, the iPhone’s much heralded Safari browser will have one tough competitor coming from Microsoft.

Flash 10 will bring a lot of desktop Flash plug-ins to the mobile browser. Previously, many plug-ins and internet videos coded for Flash 9 and 10 would not play on Flash Lite for Windows Mobile.
