Finally! It works! Just moments ago, Qik released the application needed to do video conferencing on the HTC EVO 4G from Sprint. In Europe, they’ve had video conferencing for years, but in the US, it’s new to us. In this video, I video conference with Geoff Farinha from Ultimo119. As you can see through the video, the video conferencing is smooth both for audio and video. The huge caveat is that the person receiving the call must hold down the microphone button in order to talk, sort of like a walky talky. It’s possible that we’re doing this wrong, or that a future software version will fix this. More testing to come!
