CoPilot is adding several new features to its Windows Mobile and Android GPS turn-by-turn navigation software, including local search and traffic and fuel price, the latter two are premium features available at an added cost. Local search will allow users to search the internet for local points of interests (POIs) and should offer more POIs than what is built into the app. Traffic and fuel search are premium add-ons. Traffic will allow the app to re-route you based on traffic conditions and fuel prices will check local gas stations, based on your GPS location, for the cheapest fuel prices.

CoPilot is one of the cheapest full-feature GPS navigation solutions that is available on a number of platforms, including Android, Windows Mobile, and iPhone. The application features locally stored maps on a storage card–so you don’t need the Internet–and turn-by-turn voice guided instructions. The app, and accompanying North American maps, is available for $35 from CoPilot or via the Android Market if you have an Android device; Android users who purchase via Android Market must utilize a WiFi connection to download the maps, which runs under 2 GB.
