MobilePad comes from XDA Developers and it’s a free, lightweight, feature packed text editor for your everyday note needs.

It currently supports *.txt, *.xml, *.log and *.ini files for both opening and saving, it has a built-in automatic character count and you can format your text using attributes like bold, italic, underline, strikeout and normal. MobilePad also features word wrapping for easier reading of long text lines plus a neat feature allowing you to directly send text as SMS or call a number directly from the application, if it contains any valid phone numbers. If you’re writing longer documents, there’s also an option allowing you to set auto-save intervals, as well as using tabs for easy multiple file editing and switching between them.

You need to have a .NET Compact Framework 3.5 enabled Windows Mobile Professional 5 or later device in order to run it after being installed. QVGA and VGA are both supported.
