Android 1.5 Crashes More Than 1.0

This week, T-Mobile has been pushing out the new Android 1.5 Cupcake operating system release to G1 owners. The update, already delayed by one week, downloads and installs automatically. While I was not impressed with Android 1.0 on the G1, it adds a number of welcome new features including an on-screen qwerty-only keyboard, stereo bluetooth, and video recording capabilities.

The update for my G1 just installed itself, however it turns out a number of things have been broken… including one very important thing; the email program. It won’t open for me at all despite numerous reboots.
