Having the option to easily text your GPS coordinates to a contact can be extremely handy in certain situations. It could be used simply to let a friend know where you are or maybe to guide a family member to where your vehicle broke down on the highway. Either way, a utility with such a feature would be more of a benefit than a nuisance. There are several apps that can do this, but there’s one that adds a few extra features that make it a bit more resourceful.
It’s called GPS Location and it does more than just text coordinates. GPS Location uses your internal GPS to send your location by either SMS or Email. It will also include the date, time and a Google Maps link to your location, which makes it more convenient for those receiving the information on the other end. Another feature is the ability to create a note with your current location, date and time. Also, you can copy the coordinates to your clipboard and paste it anywhere you want. Start showing your contacts where you are by heading to XDA-developers for the download.
