Infinity UI Updated with SMS, Contacts & Call History Menus

We recently demonstrated the initial release of Ageye’s Infinity user interface, which garnered tons of interest due to its speed and refreshing look. It’s recently been updated to Alpha 0.2 and brings a few much needed features. Users now have access to a contacts menu, call history screen and SMS browser.

The contacts menu is fairly simple with all your contacts listed (thumbnail images too) and finger-flick scrolling. Once a contact is selected, it dives into a sub-menu with options to call the contact or send an SMS. Up next, we have a beautifully skinned SMS browser. It sports threaded messaging with chat bubbles and timestamps. Lastly, a call history menu has been added that shows your incoming, outgoing and missed calls in a nice list format. The call history and SMS widgets will display notification bubbles on the Home screen as well. Unfortunately, you can’t delete or remove items from the call history or SMS screen yet.

The three aforementioned features are great to have and we can clearly see the direction the developers are headed – a fully integrated shell for Windows Mobile, much like SPB Mobile Shell. Aside from these new features, there were other minor updates since we did the video walkthrough. Remember that Infinity is still in early stages of development, so there will be some bugs and missing features. You can grab the latest Alpha from the Ageye forums. We’ll keep you updated on the project’s progress as it continues to evolve into something more usable, so stay tuned. What features would you like to see added to the Infinity interface?
