A Ton of Registry Hacks in One Program

One of the best aspects of Windows Mobile is the ability to tweak and modify the registry to make many system changes. This is something that no other phone operation system can do.

Those of you that have been in the Windows Mobile/Pocket PC world for a while probably remember the venerable Tweaks2k2 .NET registry hack program. Basically, it takes dozens of tweaks and makes implementing them as easy as putting a check mark in a box. Though Tweaks2k2 is in need of a visual overhaul and could benefit from the addition of recent registry tweaks that have been discovered, it's still a great program and I was able to run it fine on an XPERIA X1 and Touch Pro.

What can Tweaks2k2 do? I'll tell you what I did on the X1:

- Changed color of top and bottom bar to aqua green
- Forced ClearType in landscape
- Customized Today screen right soft key to link to Opera
- Disabled in-call beeping when you turn up volume
- Made the scroll bars a bit narrower
- Turned on Start Menu animation

Tweaks2k2 can be had for $15.50. You can download a trial first and see if it's worth it. Check here for the non-touchscreen version which is $12.99 and also has a trial.
