Ah – our first glimpse of the next version of Windows Mobile, called Crossbow until Microsoft finds a more intuitive name.

We don’t know much about Crossbow (Microsoft is doing a great job at keeping a lid on this!) – we know that it will be released to manufacturer late this year, and will probably show up on devices iin the second half of 2007. It features a more glassy-like appearance, and is expected to integrate with Office and Exchange 2007. About a year later, Microsoft will release Photon, which is expected to take the Windows Mobile platform in a different direction.
