From XDA Developers comes WMM Notes – now at version 0.5 – a free and nice looking Note taking application for Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 and above.

Download and install the CAB to your device and run it. Program options allow you to select language (English, Czech and Slovak available for now), show icon in tray, hide after start, set number of note tabs, individually name tabs (good for separating notes), set background and text color as well as text size and weight. Notes are automatically saved when exiting the app.

Note: If you can’t find the application after you run it, check in your Task Manager as it has a default setting in its Options to Hide after launch.
