Matthew Miller of ZDNet has posted a review of the HTC S740 (Rose) that was given out at Mobius. Overall he seems very impressed with the Rose’s form factor, build quality, and “feel”. Windows Mobile Standard (non-touch screen) devices don’t get much press coverage these days, but they’re still quite powerful and useful. In fact, not having a touch screen often makes more sense since you can use the screen for looking at content, while hardware buttons maintain their job of letting you navigate that content. The HTC Rose is also one of the few devices where you can find the extremely cool “Sliding Panels” interface.
